Second post and this time I went to The Hanoi Bike Shop in the West End. Hanoi is a Vietnamese restaurant tucked down a lane off Byres Road. The West End is not great for parking but if you go after 6pm and are lucky, can find a space. If not, it is literally a one minute walk from the nearest subway and bus stop. The venue is an explosion of colour, with mismatched furniture and cute lanterns everywhere. It has a very bright and cheerful vibe, and all the staff were super nice and helpful. Hanoi is not fully plant based but they are known for their homemade tofu, which is made fresh daily. I went with two of my friends and ordered the following to share; Black Pepper & Soy Glazed Tofu, Rice Paper Rolls, Salt and Chilli Plantain Chips. If you order one thing, I'd recommend the Glazed Tofu as it was honestly so flavoursome! We then each ordered a bowl of Pho - a noodle and broth dish straight out of Vietnam. It's a build yo...
My name is Laura, I live in Glasgow and I follow a plant-based diet.
One of my favourite things is going out to meet friends or family for food and drink, and I am always looking for new cafes, restaurants and bars to try. Being vegetarian, vegan or following any sort of plant-based diet is now more common than ever - many of my friends follow these different diets - and so this is a page for the places I find.
Glasgow is known for being the 'Vegan Capital of Britain' and so, I'm on an adventure to test that out!
